Shed pads, hardstands and site preparation
A shed pad needs to be level, compacted and able to drain water before the builder arrives. Poor preparation can delay the build or create problems later.
What we do
Strip and set aside topsoil where required
Cut and fill to establish the site level
Build and compact the pad in layers to the supplied specification
Shape drainage away from the pad and shed apron
Prepare hardstands and turning areas
Prepare tank bases and equipment pads
Build or improve access for delivery vehicles where included in the scope
Working with your builder
Send through the shed plans, supplier quote or engineering specification before the work is priced. The pad dimensions, levels, fall and compaction requirements need to be clear before construction starts. We work directly with your builder or any other trades to get the job done.
What helps when you ask for a price
Provide the shed size, intended use, site location and any plans or specifications you already have. Photos are useful, especially if water has previously sat on the site or access is limited.
Areas we cover
For shed pad or site preparation work across Warragul, Drouin, Yarragon, Trafalgar and West Gippsland. Also South Gippsland farms and properties across the Mornington Peninsula.
We work with your builders or directly with you to prepare a site that’s engineered to last.
No matter how big or small your site, we have the machinery, experience and skills to prepare your site for sheds, outbuildings, horse arenas, car parking and more.
common questions
-
Ground and weather conditions affect the work. Ask early if the shed delivery or build has a set date, so the site and timing can be assessed properly.
-
Approval requirements depend on the proposed building and the property. Confirm this with your council, building surveyor or shed supplier. Rolla Constructions provides the earthworks, not planning or building approval advice.
-
They can be scoped together. Whether that is practical depends on access, timing and the builder's program.
