Horse arenas and equine earthworks
The base and drainage underneath an arena or equine access area matter as much as the surface. The work also needs to suit horses, floats, vehicles and the way people move around the property.
What we do
Arena site preparation, levelling, base construction and drainage
Rebuilding and re-levelling existing arenas
Equine laneways and access tracks
Stable, barn and shelter surrounds
Wash bay bases and drainage
Float and truck access, turning areas and parking
Planned around the property
Arena levels, drainage, access and surrounding hardstands need to work together. The scope should reflect the intended use of the area and any surface specification supplied for the project.
Areas we cover
Rollacon is experienced with building and repairing surfaces for horses. We operate across West Gippsland including Warragul, Drouin, Garfield, Bunyip, Tynong, Yarragon and properties across the Mornington Peninsula.
Brand new horse arena in progress. Levelled, layered for drainage and horse safety.
We ensure all our projects have the correct fall and drainage to ensure quality and longevity without puddles and gravel washing away.
common questions
-
Yes. We can prepare the arena site, level the area, build and compact the base, and put the required drainage layers in place.
-
We rebuild and re-level arenas that have stopped draining properly. The work needed will depend on the existing levels, the condition of the base and where the water is collecting.
-
Yes. We can prepare hardstand areas and access around stables, barns and shelters to help keep high-traffic areas usable in wet conditions.
-
Send through the property location, a brief description of the work and photos of the area where possible. It also helps to explain whether the project is a new arena, an existing arena that needs work, or access and drainage around another part of the horse property.
